Seesaw - Digital Student Portfolios
The Seesaw app is one of the coolest apps I have seen in quite some time. We just started using this at our school. The app will let students take pictures of their work, record their voice, create a video, draw, and more. My teachers love the fact that they can see all of their student work on another iPad or computer. Each child selects their name when adding content which adds it to their digital portfolio.
What a powerful tool! Imagine sharing student work at a parent-teacher conference. Set up your free account at Seesaw today!

30 Hands App
Have you been using the 30 Hands App. My kids love it!!! Today, they made a presentation on Animal Groups. Students were able to add a slide for each group (mammals, birds, etc.) Then students could add a picture, write information, and even record their voice. You can easily save your video project to the camera roll. 30 Hands is Free in the App store. Try it out!

Are you using the Venn Diagram app on the iPad? I used this with a small group last week. Students read non-fiction text about two different animal groups. My students created a Venn Diagram and were able to email it to me. We even emailed the work to their parents. They loved it!

Postino
Postino is a neat App that lets you create a postcard. Once you create the postcard, you can very easily email it. This would allow you to print it if needed. You can customize and put your own picture on the cover of the postcard. Students could create a post card about a historical place that they are studying, such as The Alamo.
***This is an App for the iPhone that can be used on the iPad. So, when searching for the App, make sure you are looking for iPhone Apps in the App Store.***

Skitch
Skitch is a great way to take pictures and label them. You can also use the drawing tools to circle or make notes. Skitch lets you take a snapshot of a map as well.
Pic Collage
Pic Collage is my "go to" app. It can be used in any subject area. I've used it with Kindergarten through 5th grade. Students can add images from the web or take them with the camera. They can add text boxes to label as well. I recently had Kindergarteners take pictures of the life cycle of a butterfly. They organzied their pictures into a collage and labeled each stage. They loved it!
